Health Care Reform: Contraceptive Coverage Requirements for Religious Employers

The ACA requires non-grandfathered health plans to cover women’s preventive health services, including contraceptives, without cost-sharing. Churches are exempt from this mandate on the basis of their religious objection. A temporary enforcement delay and accommodations are available for other religious employers.
